Bad for communities

The proposals for local government reorganisation in Norfolk are bad for our local communities.

They will take decision-making and jobs away from rural communities and centralise them in some new, mega-HQ.

The proposed new unitary councils in Norfolk would be remote, bureaucratic and less in touch with local people.

With a population approaching one million Norfolk is simply too big an area to be served by just one or two very large councils.

These proposals have been dreamt up by civil servants in London who simply don’t understand Norfolk or its people.
